Now, EasyRaze wand for those who hate hairy backs
August 17th, 2010 - 5:32 pm ICT by ANIWashington, Aug 17 (ANI): Those who don’t like hairy backs can now get rid of those unwanted tufts, thanks to Michael Fuerst’s invention- EasyRaze wand.
Fuerst said that he doesn’t like his back hair and for seven years he worked on a self-service solution and came out with the patented EasyRaze wand.
“Waxing, laser therapy, trimming are expensive, painful, time consuming or don’t work,” the Orange County Register quoted Fuerst, who lives in Aliso Viejo, as saying.
“With a little practice EasyRaze gives a clean shave even without a mirror,” he added.
Available for 69 dollars, it includes ergonomic handle, a three-blade swivel-head razor and foam applicator.
And if you have a favourite razor, the tool can hold 99 percent of blade razors on the market, said Fuerst.
Fuerst isn’t the only one to spot a market for this product.
Another back shaver on the market is Razorba.
But before you think making a razor can be anybody’s game, here’s what Fuerst found out as he tried to create the EasyRaze.
“I put a lot of thought into the length and shape. The angle at which the blade slides over the back is critical and you have to be able to apply the correct pressure with your hand behind your back,” he said.
Fuerst spent seven years developing the idea and the past 15 months building the final design, finding manufacturers and developing the marketing.
He has 10,000 dollars invested in the company.
He thought the core market would be males in sports, dance and performing arts.
“But I’ve gotten e-mails from women who are pregnant who want a women’s version. I’m working on different colours and shapes for women,” he said.
Evenutally Fuerst wants to develop an EasyRaze for the disabled. (ANI)
