New Delhi, Dec 24 (IANS) International fashion brand Versace held a hasty preview of its accessories line in the capital after its plan to open an accessories store in Mumbai’s Trident hotel received a setback due to the terror attacks that hit India’s financial capital last month.”Our store was going to open in the Trident by December but due to terror attacks it got delayed so we came up with this preview idea to reach our customers who believe in the brand and our products,” Executive Director of Blues clothing company Abhay Gupta told IANS Tuesday at the plush DLF Emporio mall in Vasant Kunj.
Blue Clothing Company (BCC) is a franchisee for Italian brands such as Versace, Cadini and Corneliani.
“Though our flagship store will open in February, we could not wait that long for our accessories preview. We had not planned any preview in the Trident but it became necessary after our launch plans got delayed,” Gupta added.
At the preview, bags in purple, yellow and metallic black caught the eye. So did sunglasses in different sizes and shapes.
