Miracle cure for cellulite: Machine uses acoustic wave therapy
April 13th, 2010 - 6:27 pm ICT by ANINew York, Apr 13 (ANI): A novel machine claims to be the ultimate weapon in the war against cellulite: The Swiss-manufactured D-Actor device utilizes acoustic wave therapy (AWT) to obliterate the flab.
The procedure AWT has been used in the medical world for several years to make kidney stones disintegrate and to ease joint pain, according to the Daily Mail.
“The force of the acoustic shock waves shatter and destroy the cellulite-causing connective fibers,” Esther Fieldgrass, owner of a London spa that offers the treatment, told the Daily Mail. “The waves break down the fibrous walls to release clogged fat, water and toxins.”
Some of the cellulite-prone areas that can be treated with the device are the butt, thighs, arm and tummy, reports The New York Daily News. (ANI)
