London, March 10 (IANS) A man, who compiled up to 35 blogs to publicly insult his girl-friend after their month-long affair was ended by her, has been jailed by a British court for stalking the lady by blog.

Thirty-eight-year-old Stephen Andreassen compiled blogs in which he insulted Rebecca Pattinson after he felt disheartened by her ending the relationship.

The couple met in 2006 through friends and began dating three years later when Pattinson went to see Andreassen perform on the fourth plinth in central London’s Trafalgar Square as part of the “one and other” exhibition by the artist Antony Gormley, The Daily Telegraph reported.

Pattinson, 36, a mother of two and a university student, ended the relationship after four weeks when Andreassen asked her to view a flat with him.

Andreassen, however, started bombarding Pattinson with calls, emails, texts and messages over Facebook, begging to be taken back.

Pattinson threatened to call police and tightened security on the social networking site and got Andreassen removed from her contact details.

After she deactivated her Facebook account, Andreassen set up a series of blogs posting messages about her “warning all men” and listing links to his other websites giving his account of their affair.

Last year Andreassen, of Urmston, Greater Manchester, avoided jail but was banned under a lifetime restraining order from mentioning Pattinson on any websites after he admitted harassment.

Two months later, he was arrested again after he posted another entry on his blog detailing the court case and called the woman involved a “liar” and “a sociopath”. But he was spared jail again.

He, however, set up a new obsessive website with various pages, including sections labelled The Relationship, My Story and Court Appearance.

At Manchester magistrates’ court, Andreassen was jailed for 18 weeks after he admitted breaking a restraining order.
