Manhattan, Nov 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Model Katelyn Loren Fortes, has become a Top 10 finalist in Victoria’s Secret’s nationwide runway model search. The 5’10” teen beauty is trying for the ultimate crown, against the other finalists in Manhattan. The crowned winner will get to amble alongside high-fashion stars Alessandra Ambrosio and Doutzen Kroes in the Dec. 1 show at 10 p.m.

“It’s a whirlwind,” said Fortes, whose mom is a Boston police officer and whose favorite foods are buffalo chicken quesadilla and fries at Uno Chicago Grill. “I think I have all the elements to be the runway Angel.”

Robert Casey is Fortes’ agent and he said that, “the 18-year-old may not be the most voluptuous girl, but her walk and personality are taking her far. Her walk is flawless,” he said.

Fortes thinks that her signature bangs stand out. “I’m the only one with bangs,” she said. “That’s my signature hairstyle.”

Her mom, Kimberly, said modeling taught Fortes “how not to be shy in the limelight.” “I’m the youngest one (here),” said Fortes, who now lives in Canton. “My dream is to become a major supermodel. I think I can reach it.”

She also had a short modeling stint in Paris as well as a short appearance in Sesame Street with the very lovable Elmo.
