tiematchingJan 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) You wake up every morning, only to know that a rat race is soon going to follow. However, the biggest challenge that you face almost every morning is selecting the right tie for the shirt. It is indeed not an easy task, as a simple mistake can completely ruin your corporate image and take a toll on your confidence and personality. Here come some handy tips that would rescue you from the daily fussy episode of tie shirt coordination.

Always be sure that your tie and shirt should be of contrast colors. If you sport a darker shade of shirt, then wear a lightly hued tie. Similarly, if you wear a light colored shirt then have the liberty to experiment with darker, bolder and brighter colors. Go green or red if you are young. The older men can wear brown, beige, pale yellow, light purple etc, that would coordinate with the color of the shirt. A tie with diagonal stripes can often do wonders on checkered shirts. However, make sure that you do not wear a tie at all if the checks in the shirt are too bold and big. A tie in fact works best with plain unprinted shirt or striped shirts. Boxes, dots and paisley prints can look cool with striped shirts. A striped shirt can also team up with diagonally striped ties. However, make sure that the stripes of the tie and the shirt are of different sizes. Anything can go well with a plain shirt, but here, one should pay extra attention to the color combination.

You should avoid wearing white shirt with a black tie. It looks good only when worn by stewards. Also avoid wearing shirt and tie of the same color or print patterns. It is best, if at least one color in the printed tie matches with either the dominant color of your shirt or shoe.
