spcaeAug 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A very usual complain for home users is the size of their homes. Considering that the majority of the people cannot afford 8 bedroom mansions like the Hollywood stars, many wonder how to make the small spaces of their living rooms and bed rooms appear slightly larger. Several websites and interior decorators provide solutions to the problem but usually the changes turn out to be unaffordable and sometimes even impractical.

One of the most common tips that one can find on the web for making a small space look bigger is that one should not clutter the room with too many items. The suggestion seems to overlook the fine detail that some of the things kept in the room may not be dispensable at all and there might be no other space in the house to fit them. Another suggestion is using multipurpose things such as a sofa-cum bed and even folding chairs. Interior experts also explain that the use of certain colors can make a room look more spacious. They, however, chose to ignore the fact that many cannot afford to re-paint their rooms.

Another common suggestions to make a room look bigger is to let in the light. Even this suggestions may turn out to be useless for the people who have houses with very few windows. And considering that the room in question is a small one, there is little probability that it will have large French windows or anything such. By far the most common trick to make a room roomy is a to place a large mirror that gives depth to the room. The trick is common in several showrooms and restaurants and is an effective one visually.
