Jan 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) International hotel chain Holiday Inn has come up with an innovative initiative in a bid to attract new customers in Britain. The hotel chain is offering human bed-warming service in three of its properties in Britain amidst the chilling weather condition that has been prevailing in the nation. The human bed warmer would also be provided with a thermometer to check the bed’s requisite temperature of 20 degrees Celsius.
The new service would be offered in Holiday Inn’s two hotels in London and another one in Manchester. In the service, a hotel staff member would get into the bed of the customers on request and would be dressed in a fleece sleeper suit covering him from head to toe. The warmer would them move around in the bed and in the process would generate heat so that the guests can comfortably occupy the beds later.
Jane Bednall, the hotel chain spokesperson has revealed through a statement that the new bed warming service would be like having a hot water bottle in the bed. Hotel authorities have also stated that the innovative new service is being provided to the guests to signify the launch of 3,200 new properties by the hotel chain all across the world. Meanwhile, the service is being promoted in collaboration with the director of the Edinburgh Sleep Centre, Chris Idzikowski who has implied that a warm bed with temperature between 20 to 24 Celsius is an ideal way to commence the process of sleep, which begins when the temperature of the human body starts to reduce. Moreover, the sleep expert also emphasized that a cold bed could hinder the process of sleep.
