Dec 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) One of the most awaited time of the year is Christmas. This season apart from being just the best part of the year, it can also determine your reputation as an employer or an employee in the company you work in. Therefore, you need to abide by certain holiday etiquette at office.
Amongst the few things you can do to make the best use of the holiday and yet leave an impression, is sending greeting cards to every professional acquaintances. Every one loves to be wished during the Christmas and New Year, whether they are personally connected to you or not. However, make sure that the greeting cards are as impersonal as possible. If your company deals with goods manufacturing, you can give them goodies consisting of items manufactured by your company or any other Christmas items like sweets, cakes and candles. If you are planning for an official party for Christmas, make sure that you do not get too drunk or misbehave there, as no matter what, it is still official. Also follow the dress codes, for the official parties and stay within the limits of decency. Pay generous tips to your office boys before the holidays.
As far as work is concerned, make sure that you have finished all your tasks beforehand. If necessary, keep a track on your work, so that you may resume it with ease once the holiday is over. Make sure that you discuss your work plans in advance, so that you need not bug your boss or subordinates during the holidays. If your colleague is going for a holiday, you may share his work if possible. This will prove your potential and dedication to the company, and establish you as a dependable professional.
