Ford Explorer 2011 Comes With A Plethora Of New Features

July 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Ford - one of the biggest players in the US automobile industry yesterday took the wraps off its much awaited refresh edition of Explorer. The car has created a buzz in the industry even before the company has launched it commercially. The 2011 version of the Explorer which has been one of the best selling models of the company boasts of several enhancements in design and features. The model looks refreshingly new from outside and the company has altered number of things inside to offer the buyers an unmatched driving experience. It is powered by a beefy 290 horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 engine which according to the company is very powerful and delivers extreme performance.
Ford is claiming that the 2011 Explorer is much more fuel efficient than its predecessor. The car is pitted against the Toyota Camry which is also known for its superior mileage. The Explorer has got Inflatable rear seat belts- a feature that is useful for protecting children sitting at the back seats. A practical new inclusion is the Curve Control technology that helps the driver to avoid skidding in snow and sand. Those who have the habit of dozing off behind the steering will benefit from its Collision Warning System that gets activated the moment the car moves close to a vehicle in front of it.
Ford has equipped the 2011 Explorer with A 911 Assist feature that helps the rescue workers in tracking a vehicle with GPS. The car has got initial good reviews from the experts. It will be manufactured soon and will be priced a tad lower than the 2010 version.
