New Delhi, Oct 11 (IANS) Fashion label Dozakh by designer duo Isha-Kartikeya has bagged their first Bollywood project which will release next year.

“We are doing our first mainstream movie and that’s the reason why we were in Prague till last month. Produced by Glamour struck productions, the film is tentatively titled ‘Prague’,” Kartikeya told IANS.

“The movie will release sometime next year in June. We are really excited to be associated with the team,” he added.

Actor Chandan Roy Sanyal who played Shahid Kapoor’s best friend in “Kaminey” will play the lead role while a fresh face Elena Kazan will make her Bollywood debut, Kartikeya said.

From designing individual pieces for celebrities to creating wardrobe for various production houses to showcasing their designs at the fashion weeks and international exhibitions - the strength and creativity of the designer duo is in full spring.

And the two feel that working in Bollywood will be an added advantage.

“People have seen and appreciated our work. We are satisfied with our career but Bollywood will be an added advantage,” Isha said.

“Rohit Khaitan (the producer of the movie) has seen our work. And since he is a longtime friend, he offered the project and we just said yes,” she added.

Talking about the styling part, Kartikeya said: “The clothes will be very realistic as cinema today has evolved leaps and bounds. Costumes depict reality and character rather than sticking to fashionable attire.”

The duo is exhibiting their collection at the ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) and they said this collection too has been inspired by Prague.

“On a recent trip to Prague, we got really inspired by the baroque designs and architectural inspired diagrams. The colours and details of the building, everything was so inspiring,” Isha said.

“The collection comprises casual tunics, wearable dresses and free flowing gowns that any age group can wear,” she added.
