turkey1Nov 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Thanksgiving is just round the corner. With that, people are pondering over, what recipe would be the very best to make sure that the day is celebrated to the fullest. Like every other special occasion, turkey may be regarded as one of the best thanks giving treats. Many people are searching the web to know how to stuff the turkeys into a tender and tasty meal. Recently, “The Martha Stewart Show”, tried to resolve some of these culinary issues with chef Jason Franey of Seattle’s Canlis restaurant.

The stuffing recipes featured on the show included Sausage and Sage Un-Stuffing, Slow-Roasted Heritage Turkey with Orange and Sage. The first recipe looked quite tempting and easy, as it includes ingredients that are easily available, like minced meat of your choice, eggs, heavy cream, sourdough bread, sliced sage leaves, peeled chestnuts and olive oil. Similarly, even the other recipe recommended by the chef, namely, Slow-Roasted Heritage Turkey with Orange and Sage, seems to be a fuss-less option. This should have a darker meat with a richer flavor. The turkey should essentially be broad breasted in order to get the best taste out of it. Therefore, a nice Wishard Bronze should be the first option to start with. This stuffing recipe requires less ingredients that is limited to navel oranges, a bunch of fresh sage, pepper and unsalted butter in cubes.

The chef, Jason Franey gave complete and detailed direction about the procedure. He said that although this is a very traditional form of turkey stuffing, it has faded away with time, as the taste of the people have altered. Therefore, it is always better to revive the past in order to make it novel once again.
