Nov. 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Most of the stores are banking on the very day of Black Friday to make the most of the shopping rush of the festive season. There is the hope that the people will be making a last minute rush to the malls to shop on the D’day. Local retailers hope that the tradition will continue from last year. The stores made record sales on that day, and hope that this year too, people will be shopping since well before sunrise. A spokesperson for the Elder-Beerman stores said that the stores are taking additional security measures to ensure that no hassles and accidents take place that seem to occur almost every year.

The Elder-Beerman store has announced that the store will be open from 4 in the morning for the shoppers. They are suggesting that the customers bring in the store’s advertisement that comes with the 10 dollar coupons that the store had made available. The retailers are anticipating that the rush for eleventh hour shopping will start right from the wee hours of dawn due to limited time and items for sale.

The retailers at Elder-Beerman feel that the foremost concern of the authorities is to keep the customers well informed of the items and the deal that are still available in the market. They have installed greeters at the doors to make sure that the customers are directed o the stores they want to visit. This strategy also comes in handy in controlling the disorderly crowd. Still, some of the retailers feel that there is no real need to direct the customers as most of them visit the same shops year after year, more in the way of a family tradition.
