Eden Prairie tops the list of the ‘Best Place to Live’

fire3 New York, July 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) This year, Money’s list of Best Places to Live focused on small towns that have population between 50,000 to 300,000.

The list, which is compiled annually, takes into consideration factors like unemployment rate, low crime, good health care, fiscal strength, top-notch schools and other factors.

According to the compilers of the list, these factors and several others make a great place to raise a family. The town with the highest value is adjudged the best town.

In all, 30 towns were considered for the list. The best town according to the statistics is Eden Prairie, Minnesota. The town has the lowest level of unemployment rate amongst all the 30 towns that were considered. The town has a population of 64,000. The town also has a very low crime rate, thus making it a safer place to raise your children.

Followed closely is Columbia/Ellicott City, MD. The town has a population of 155,000 and has unemployment rate of 5.2%. The town has great schools and a very vibrant economy but the town has one negative factor and that is bad traffic.

The other towns in the top ten list are Newton, MA at third, Bellevue, WA at fourth, McKinney, TX at fifth, Fort Collins, CO at sixth, Overland Park, KS seventh, Fishers, IN eighth, Ames, IA ninth and completing the list of the top ten towns to live is Rogers, AR.
