London, Aug 20 (IANS) Ambitious people with high goals lead a more satisfactory life than those who have low expectations and thus often end up leading a miserable life, a study has found.

In her research, University of California professor Cecile Cho set up two experiments to compare people who set ambitious goals to those who set conservative goals, Daily Mail reported.

They focused on situations in which goals were achieved, and measured the level of satisfaction with the achieved goals.

Cho found people, who set high goals for themselves were happier in the long run.

“The moral of the story is don’t sell yourself short. Aim high,” said Cho.
