Does Donna Simpson Wish To Be World’s Fattest Woman?

Mar 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) When the story first hit the headlines, it was more along the lines of “Donna Simpson On Quest To Be World’s Fattest Woman.” The story came to us of a 42 year old woman, Donna Simpson, who weighed in at 602 pounds, and was trying to gain more. She was said to be eating over 12,000 pounds in an effort to make the Guinness Book of World Records as World’s Fattest Woman within the next two years. The eat that much would cost her at least $750 dollars a week.
How would she fund such a project? Donna is a model on Supersizedbombshells.com which is a website for men who like heavier women. She also runs a website where people who are into such types of fetishes can watch her consume large amounts of fattening foods. She actually met her 150 pound boyfriend Phillippe Gouamba, on a dating site for large women. He said that he stands beside her all the way because he “enjoys it.”
Now it seems the story has changed. According to the New York Daily News, from a story on ABC, Donna claims that the initial story, by the British Daily Mail, was a misquote, and that she never said that she wanted to gain the weight, that the World Record story is just a fantasy she acts out for her fans. Donna explained all of this to ABCNews.com.
Whether it really was a misquote or she simply changed her story is yet unclear. It is quite possible that all of the negative feedback that she has gotten made her stop to think. Whoopi Goldberg on “The View” said that Donna was just needing attention that Whoopi wasn’t going to give her, and then changed the subject.
People all over the internet were commenting that she needed to have her child taken away from her, because the little girl did not deserve to have to grow up and take care of her mother, who would soon be immobile in bed (she already uses a scooter to get around). The commentors compared it a child having to grow up caring for a drug addict, and they felt sorry for a child whose mother could be so selfish and worry more about pleasing her boyfriend, and online men’s fantasies, than the welfare of her child.
Speaking of her little girl, Donna has already made the Guinness book of world records in 2007, when the baby was born. She weighed 532 pounds when she gave birth, and it took a team of 30 medical personnel to deliver the child, by “high risk Caesarean.” Whether she really was misquoted or not, one thing is clear, the mother’s weight has already put the child’s life at risk…at birth, and perhaps she should really think of how her actions are affecting the little girl.

Such a lofty goal. She will not only be fates but the deadest.
I find her behavior obscene, selfish and not worthy of our attention. Her health issues are costing to us as a society. She will leave orphan children. What accomplishment.Obesity is not a game.

Adam,
You may want to work tact. You seem short on it.

Sadly my lack of tact is indicative of an apathy which makes me immune to such criticisms. I appreciate your concern for my personal development however. Allow me to reciprocate: compound sentences are your friend, spice it up a bit with other punctuation besides periods, it shows everyone how knowledgeable you are and how wrong I am.

Exactly what makes weighing 1000lbs disgusting? Are you less disgusting if you weigh less than a 1000 or more disgusting if you weigh more? I think people should just get off Donna Simpsons ass. She’s obviously doing what she wants to do and it’s really no ones business what she weighs or eats. Maybe if people spent more time worrying about themselves and their families they wouldn’t have time to criticize or even worry about people like Donna. In other words mind your own God damn business and unless you are somehow perfect stop passing judgment on others.
