An innovative speed dating event is being organized by Cupid.com in a bid to give those who are single the chance to put to test the theories of attraction. The event is also likely to provide some sort of a platform for singles of both sex a chance to find true love. The event coordinator is Carrie MacDonald. He is known to have said that, “This hasn’t been done in the area for about five years”, and thus was due for some time now.

The event has been Scheduled to be held at Tommy Bahama’s Tropical Café on El Paseo on Monday at 6 p.m. It is fashioned in such a way so as to be a “fun and safe way” for meeting new people people. MacDonald added that,“It’s all anonymous”, and that it all is supposed to work in a simple manner.

The same number of men and woman have been registered. All the Singles get to spend about six minutes speaking to each other. The end of the six minutes will be signalled by MacDonald by thr ringing a bell. The men will then rotate so that they meet the next lady.

MacDonald said that, “At the end of the event they submit a scorecard letting us know who they felt connected with… Or they can stay afterward if they meet someone they like.” Macdonal also said that profiles can be created online. However that is not mandatory.

She insisted the environment is going to be relaxed.

MacDonald said that she was getting great response. She has recieved a number of calls. That is also due to the fact that she has taken great pains to advertise the event.She has placed ads on MySpace and on Craiglist.
