New Delhi , May 29 (ANI): Minister of State for Coal, Santosh Bagrodia said today that the use of clean coal technology will be increased for industrial production to meet the climate change norms and to reduce the high cost of production.
Addressing a conference on Green Power here he said the 11th plan has fixed the target of 732 million tons of coal production.
The production of coal will be increased to meet the challenges of growing demand of power in the country and various steps have been taken for adequate supply of coal to the industry, he said.
He also said that a balance should be struck between the development goals and environmental concerns to mitigate the affects of global warming.
He urged the experts to provide clean coal technology to the country so that the high cost of production is reduced. (ANI)
