May 25th, 2011 - 6:10 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 25 (IANS) Music, style, food, technology and entertainment - all this under one roof called V Spot Cafe and Bar, which was launched here Wednesday. It targets youngsters and will give them a chance to flaunt their witty side in style.
“We have always been at the forefront of introducing unique formats and discovering fresh avenues to engage the youth. This place will give youths a tangible interaction with the brand. Each element in the cafe gets its inspiration from various themes associated with Channel V,” said Prem Kamath, who heads Channel V.
By opening the cafe-cum-bar at District Centre in Saket, Channel V extends from the broadcast and digital space to an on-ground experience.
“The idea clicked after Channel V undertook extensive research on youths of India. We thought why not open a place like this where we will have a direct interaction with our target audience,” Harshada Marne, senior executive at Star India Pvt Ltd, told IANS.
“The factors which will define the place is experiment, irreverence and wit. From ambience, interiors to music and themes, every minute detailing is in sync with the age group of 15-32,”
The place is done in brighter shades like orange, yellow and pink with witty quotations written on it. Bold interior has themes like quirky Ipad menu, video walls and touch screen gaming television. The table for two will cost Rs.600-Rs.800.
Chef Manu Chandra, who previously worked with Olive Bar and Kitchen, has been roped in.
“The food and cocktail menu is a fusion. We blend creativity with classic ingredients to create a truly spectacular menu which has interesting names like Bhutta Singh, Jhinga La La, Thai Kwon Do, Strip Tease, Son of a Peach, RumSay Brothers, Marg Mein Rita,” said Chandra.
