Cabinet appoints two new secretaries
July 22nd, 2008 - 8:26 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment ) New Delhi, July 22 (ANI): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Tuesday approved the appointment of Pramod Kumar Rastogi as Secretary in the MInistry of Steel. Mr. Rastogi, an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 1974 batch was earlier the Special Secretary in the Ministry of Defence. He replaces R.S. Pandey, who has relinquished the charge of the post.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet also appointed Atul Chaturvedi as Secretary in the Department of Fertilisers. He was earlier Special Secretary and Financial Advisor, Department of Rural Development.
He replaces Dr. J. Sreedhara Sarma, who will voluntarily retire from service on July 27. (ANI)
