London, Aug 7 (ANI): A Brit student has shunned a 100,000 pounds-a-year job offer - so she could train as a plasterer.
Gemma McCoyd, recently graduated with a first-class masters degree in maths, turned down a lucrative offer to become an actuary for a top London firm.
Instead, the 24-year-old wants to join the building trade and has enrolled on an advanced plastering course.
McCoyd, from Halstead in Essex, developed interest in plastering on an art course while studying for her degree in the US.
Now, she is the only girl in her 30-strong class at Leicester College.

If I was an actuary I could earn 100,000 pounds a year. Instead I earn less than 6,000 pounds, The Sun quoted her, as saying.

Some people say Im crazy but I have to do what I love or Ill always regret it. I didnt want to sit in an office bored out of my mind. This is what Im passionate about, she added. (ANI)
