New York, Nov 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) With several retail shops opening their doors earlier than normal on Black Friday, thousands of shoppers are expected to empty the shelves. Along with longer shopping hours, this Black Friday also presents a very unique opportunity: great deals.

Gap is offering consumers between 20 and 60 percent discount on selected products. Toys R’ Us is offering toys with varied discount rates. The Power Wheels Barbie vehicle which was being sold for $199.99 at the shop will be going for $120 during the special shopping day. The Transformers Ultimate Optimus Prime action figure which was offered for $47.99 prior to the Black Friday is being offer for $30.

One of the best deals of the day is at Best Buy where a 42-inch LCD HDTV initially offered for $499 is going for $199. An Asus Transformer 10-inch tablet computer which is originally on sale for $400 at the store is going for $249.99 on the Black Friday.

This Black Friday is expected to be a busy one. Last year, 31 percent consumers shopped during the Black Friday but that figure is expected to go up. Analysts expect that 34 percent consumers will rush to the store this year. Consumers are expected to spend at least $500 billion over the period.
