Black Friday 2010 Walmart Ads, & Other Sales
November 19th, 2010 - 3:19 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonNov 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) As usual, Walmart, and many other stores will be having their all night Open House on the Friday night after Thanksgiving, otherwise known as “Black Friday”. The term goes back as far as 1966, when it was mostly used on the East coast. It has become more popular since the year 2000, although it is not an official holiday.
Many retailers, such as Walmart, Macy’s, Toys R Us, Target, Sears, Best Buy, and others open as early as midnight, Thanksgiving night, and marks the unofficial beginning of the Christmas shopping season, with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade serving as the official start of the Holiday Season.
Walmart has listed such items as a 15.6 HP Laptop for $298, and a 32 inch Emerson LCD HDTV for $198, which will go on sale at 5 am on Black Friday, and a Nintendo Wii for $199 with a $50 Walmart card, or $88 dollar Big Wheels starting at midnight.
