This weekend, the 28th Annual Comcast Bite of Seattle 2009 is taking place at the Seattle Center in Seattle, Washington, which is certainly a much awaited event for almost all ardent food lovers, who likes to gorge on delicious food. “Bite” is an event that celebrates food and is a festival for all those who loves food. Foodies and restaurants from around the area of Seattle get together for this event which started from July 17, Friday, and will carry on till Sunday, July 19. Timings for Friday and Saturday is from 11 a.m to 9 p.m, and on Sunday it is open from 11 a.m to 8 p.m.

The entry to the event is free, only food and beverage samplings are to be purchased.
Almost 40 local restaurants are participating in this year’s event and the Bite aims to provide everyone something of their preferences to nimble on. Added excitements of the event are various concerts, comedy stage shows as well as kid’s zone.

A huge turnout of almost 450,000 people is expected to be present at this year’s event. It is coinciding with the opening of the new Tukwila to Seattle Sound Transit Light Rail, so it is expected that the turn up ratio is going to get a huge boost because of the influence of the Light Rail inauguration.

Some of the famed restaurants who are making an appearance at this year’s event which is being sponsored by Comcast , are Bombay Grill, Crepe Tyme, New Orleans Cookery, Zieglers Bratwurst Haus and a lot of other big names. Blue Elephant, Mrs. B’s and Shishkaberry’s are present in Bite 2009 too, making desert, a very special affair.
