“Anorexia and bulimia - The two types of eating disorders”

Causes
Anorexia is an act to self-starvation. Most of them are females aged of 12 to 25, only about 15% are male. People with anorexia have a fear of weight gain. Most of the anorexic people restrict their food which is dieting or excessive exercise. Other anoxeric people do binge eating “Bulimia” and purging.Bulimia is similar to anorexia but the main factor of Bulimia include people who eats a lot of food then later on forces to vomit or do an excessive exercise to prevent weight gain.

Signs of People may have anoxeria :

- The person becomes very thin
- Obsessed with eating
- Weighs regularly
- Feels fat

Signs of People may have bulimia :

- fear of weight gain
- unhappy with body size, shape and weight
- eats only low - fat food and also spends most of the time exercising

Behavioral Signs for anoxeria/bulimia

- Insomnia
- Anxiety
- Eating disorders people are often perfectionists.

Risk Factors / causes:

- controlling, overprotective, or anxious parents
- might have some one in the family with eating disorder
- a mood swing
- personality disorder
- Participates in outdoor activities such as running in order to focus on weight, and appearance
- feels fat even though they are assured that they are thin
- feels uncomfortable eating in public
- fear of excessive weight gain
