Wellington, Dec 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Air New Zealand’s innovation is being hailed as the most important development of air travel for decades. That is the “Cuddle Class.”
Air New Zealand has finally launched the Cuddle Class for economy class travelers who want to stretch their legs. It is a great deal. If you are traveling with your partner in one of those Air New Zealand planes, you buy your ticket and that of your partner and normal price. You then pay discounted price for the third seat and the three seats become all yours. During the flight, if you want to stretch your legs, the three seats can be combined and turned into a bed that can accommodate the both of you. How cool!
For now, that arrangement is only available in the Boeing 777-300ER. The convertible seats arrange at the first 11 rows of the economy class of the plane.
Other airliners have already expressed interest in having the seats so Air New Zealand is talking to them to determine how that will be arranged.
The airliners general manager, Ed Sims explained that, “Chief executive Rob Fyfe said he wanted us to be the first airline to allow economy passengers to sleep, but he wanted to do it without giving an extra inch of leg room.”
