July 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Corvette is known as one of the most popular and best selling cars made by General Motors. It is a model that is eyed by the people who want performance based cars and SUVs and of course have deep pockets. It is pitted against the models like Ford Mustang and similar cars. The people who are planning to buy either the 2011 Corvette ZR1 or Z06 have reasons to feel good about. GM is offering a unique scheme for the prospective Corvette 2011 buyers. The buyers can have the engines of their choice and apart from that they will be given the opportunity of building the engines with their hands. Incredible as it may sound to many, GM is indeed offering it for the 2011 Corvette customers.
The LS9 and LS7 engines that will be fitted into these models are developed at the company’s Performance Build Center located at Wixom. The program may commence in august and GM plans to start selling the car within this year. It would be wrong to assume that a customer may make mistake while assembling the engine. He will be guided and assisted by a GM technician throughout the process. This is the best customization can get.
Apart from the chance to develop the engine of the car by himself, a buyer will also be offered car driving course by GM. This is ideal for the novice ones. The company claims that it is an industry first offer. The Corvette 2011 models do not come for cheap though and they may cost up to $100000 to a buyer.
