banaFeb 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) “It is nothing but a banana republic,” is all that Rajesh Talwar had to say after a special CBI court ordered that Aarushi Talwar’s parents would face trial on the charge of murdering their only daughter. On Wednesday, a Ghaziabad court rejected the closure report that was submitted by the Central Bureau of Investigation and gave the order that Rajesh Talwar along with his wife Nupur Talwar would be facing trial over the charges of killing their teenaged daughter two years ago.

While talking to reporters gathered outside the court on Wednesday, a visibly shaken Rajesh Talwar said, “I should not have been born in this country” and added, “the country had nothing but a banana republic.” The distraught father further went on to say, “We have lost our precious child. Why are they doing this to us?” Vandana Talwar, a close relative of the couple revealed to media outlets that after the order of the special CBI court, the family is feeling as if it is under siege and is completely shattered as not only did the CBI fail to provide any justice, they ‘cooked up one lie after another.’

The order that was furnished by CBI Special Magistrate Preeti Singh on Wednesday sets the path for a trial in the shocking case that rocked the nation in May, 2008 when the body of 14-year-old Aarushi Talwar was found at her residence in Noida. Initially, the Talwar’s domestic help Hemraj was suspected to have killed the teenager but later, his body was also found in the terrace of the apartment.
