Dec. 26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) An alleged sex tape has been released of the governor of Andhra Pradesh, N.D. Tiwari. The tape has been released by a Telugu news channel, which broadcast clippings from the tape for over an hour. The clip was taken off air after the High Court issued an injunction against its airing. The release of the tape has raised considerable furor in the state of Andhra Pradesh, and has subjected the governor to the wrath of a number of groups demanding his impeachment.

The tape shows an elderly man engaged in sexual activities with three women. The man has been identified by various sources to be N.D. Tiwari, the 86 year old governor of Andhra Pradesh. The news channel claimed that the video had been shot in the Raj Bhavan. Soon after the tape was shown, women’s groups put up a protest in front of the governor’s residence, claiming that he be sacked immediately. The People’s Organization for Women also demanded that he be ousted, and an inquiry by the chief of Telegu Desam, N. Chandrababu Naidu followed soon after. Following the sting operation, N.D. Tiwari resigned from his post.

The governor himself however denied being to be the person in the sex tape. His office emphasized that it was all fabricated and part of a sleaze trap. The governor himself commented that the tape was the attempt of someone to defile his name, and soon after, a case was filed with the High Court. It seems that a woman called Radhika had been the one to have brought over the tape to the channel. She had allegedly also claimed that she knew intimately of the activities in the Raj Bhavan.
