Air Force One Reaches India With President Barack Obama

Nov 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) After much anticipation and wait the iconic Air Force One has reached India with the First couple of USA. The arrival of the Air Force One in Mumbai marks the beginning of the India visit of the US president. A little after noon the aircraft touched down in Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. Even when the US President will be busy meeting the PM of India and doing his tasks as scheduled the mighty Air Force One would remain ready for any emergency take off and also keep the gadgets on board ready. Since the year 1990 the fleet of the US president has consisted of a couple of highly customized and specifically configured Boeing 747-200B series aircrafts. Both the planes are called Air Force One commonly.
These aircrafts are commonly refereed to as Air Force One. The aircraft has a big conference room, a medical suite, many office rooms, a lounge and even a workout facility. Apart from that the plane can also accommodate 26 crew members and 70 passengers. The huge freezer compartment can store the food for 1,000 meals ready. The plane has been designed in such a way that it can be refueled on air without requiring to land at a airport. The on board gadgets are protected against electromagnetic radiation. The President can perform his day to day task from the flight as he does in the White Office.
When The Air Force one flies it is accompanied by a number of cargo planes. The aircrafts also have some unique security apparatus and equipments that are not seen in ordinary aircrafts.
