New Delhi, Sep 3 (ANI): Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari on Thursday condoled the tragic and untimely demise of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Y.S Rajasekhara Reddy, saying that he would always be remembered for his personal qualities and modesty.

In his condolence message to the late leader’s wife, Ansari said that Dr. Reddy would be remembered for his personal qualities and modesty.

The Vice President’s condolence message is as follows:

“I am deeply grieved to learn about the sad demise of Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, popularly known as YSR, a charismatic mass leader who has carved for himself a niche in the politics of Andhra Pradesh by his exemplary devotion and dedication to the uplift of the downtrodden and neglected segments of society.

During his long political career, he served the people of Andhra Pradesh and the country in multiple capacities.

Dr. Reddy would be remembered for his personal qualities and modesty, his deep empathy for the poor and downtrodden and for the rational changes he brought about in administrative matters in the State through an emphasis on development of the rural economy alongside new and emerging technological sectors.

My wife joins me in extending our heartfelt condolences to you and your family members. I pray to God to give you the strength and the fortitude to guide you in this hour of profound personal loss. (ANI)
