The women were chanting slogans against the United Nations and the Central Government during the protest, which was organised by local outfit of Kashmiri women– Muslim Khawateen Markaz.

The protesters demanded early release of prisoners, withdrawal of forces from Kashmir and self-determination, as decided by the United Nations.

“The prisoners should be freed, the forces withdrawn and we should be allowed self determination,” said Haleema Jan, member Muslim Khawateen Markaz.

The police arrested most of the protestors before they reached the UN office. They also raised slogans against the US and Israel. (ANI)
