London, Nov 26 (ANI): A watch to mark the 40th anniversary of the 1969 moon landings, which is made from moon dust and original fragments of Apollo 11, is set to go on sale next summer and is expected to be sold at 300,000 pounds.

The steel casing has been made from tiny components of Apollo 11 the first manned space mission to land on the moon. And the face has been coated in dust from rocks taken from the surface of the moon.

A limited number of 1,969 watches have been made to commerate the year of Neil Armstrongs Moon walk, reports the Sun.

A spokeswoman for makers Romain Jerome of Geneva, Switzerland, said: We cannot comment about where we got the moon dust from.

Designer Yvan Arpa said: We think space exploration fans and people who are passionate about the Moon will want one of these. Of course, they will need a little bit of money as well. (ANI)
