Vietnam’s deputy FM meets Krishna

New Delhi, Oct. 16 (ANI): Vietnam’s Deputy Foreign Minister Dao Viet Trung and External Affairs Minister S M Krishna met here on Friday.
The two discussed bilateral issues and areas of comprehensive co-operation.
Trung’s meeting comes on the heels of a visit by the Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Doan.
According to reports, talks are on between the Gujarat-based Mundra Port Limited and Vietnam to set up a port in that country to cater to iron ore and coal bulk.
If the talks are successful, it would first Indian company to build a port abroad.
Last year, President Pratibha Patil had visited Vietnam and held discussions with several leaders there to further strengthen the Indo-Vietnamese strategic partnership. (ANI)
