Vice-President Ansari opens Purana Qila light and sound show in Delhi
January 7th, 2011 - 1:15 pm ICT by ANIThe show told the story of Delhi using cutting edge projection and laser technology on the ruins of the historic Purana Qila.
Ansari who seemed excited after watching the show, said that it would draw both locals and tourists in large numbers
“The entire history of Delhi crossed before our eyes, it was very good show and I have full faith that both tourists and countrymen will come to see this,” Ansari said.
Tourism Minister Kumari Selja said that Delhi’s history would now be learnt as never before.
“It was a very good show; the Purana Qila (old fort) is a reflection of our history and is a part of it. Anyone can come and see it, tourists and people living or whoever is the lover of Delhi will come here to see this show and we learn about our history in a new way,” said Kumari Selja.
The show is sponsored by the Tourism Ministry and will be open to the public from next week.
The multimedia ‘Ishq-e-Dilli’ utilizes the technology similar to the ones being used in ‘Light of Liberty’, in the United States of America, the “Edfu Show” at Pyramids of Gaza, Egypt. (ANI)
