Rajkot, June 2 (ANI): Having scored 94 per cent marks in the recently declared State Board Exams, Rinkel Makhecha, a vegetable vendors daughter in Gujarats Rajkot city has proved why it is said Anythings Possible! Outsmarting rest of the students in the Gujarat Higher Secondary Board’s XII standard examination, Rinkel scored the best aggregate of 93.71 per cent and thus topped the Gujarat State’s Board of Higher Secondary Examination in the general stream.
Despite belonging to uneducated parents and coming from a poor family, Rinkel has won many hearts with her splendid results at the board examination.
A student of Shri Girdharlal Keshvji Dholkiya Higher Secondary School in Rajkot, Rinkels educational expenses were borne by her school authorities.
“When I failed to get a position in the top ten even in the city, it made me more committed to perform better this year. I missed my rank in tenth standard and so my wish was unfulfilled, so I decided that I’ll do it and I came first in my school, so I am very happy,” said a beaming Rinkel Makhecha.
She calls Bhavini Ranpura, the 2006 topper of the State in the 2006 Board examination, as her main inspiration.
Rinkel’s parents are on cloud nine since learning about their daughters impressive results.
“My daughter has stood first in the Board Examinations. I feel like crying when I think of how her labour has borne fruits. I never thought she would get first position in Boards, as she told me the examination paper was out of the syllabus. We were afraid for her percentage. By God’s grace everything is fine and we are happy,” said Suresh Kantilal Makhecha, Rinkel’s father.
The school authorities are also proud of Rinkel.
As Krishnakant Dholakiya, the School Director opined that since Rinkel belonged to a poor family, the school did bear all her educational expenses. Today, she has made the school management feel proud of her.
“The girl worked very hard throughout the year. She has only one dream to stand first in the Board exams and she has made it true,” said Krishnakant Dholakiya, the Director of the S. G Dholakiya School.
Rinkel wishes to become a chartered accountant, who knows who will sponsor for this promising students tuition fees this time? (ANI)
