New Delhi, Dec.11 (ANI): Sanjoy Sachdev, the president of the Delhi unit of the National Panthers Party, has a letter to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, inviting him to join the party.
“Though the Panthers Party does not invite rejected politicians, but Mr. Vajpayee has been rejected by the BJP for his secular credentials whereas the Panthers Party feels that Mr. Vajpayee has unique relevance in the modern politics in secular India,” Sachdeva said in a press release.
He further said that the BJP has, by presenting Mr Advani as its Prime Ministerial candidate, ensured the secular credentials of Mr. Vajpayee.
The fundamentalist image of Mr. Advani was only for political aim and gain, which can not be acceptable to the people of India, he said.
“The BJP leadership is living in a world of dreams that it would assume power at the centre. Presenting a person as Prime Ministerial candidate is an insult to the would be Members of the Parliament in next election that they will have a predetermined leader thrusted upon them. They shall loose the democratic right to even elect a leader of their own choice,” Sachdeva said.
Sachdev urged Mr. Vajpayee to show courage and walk out of the Bharatiya Janata Party and lead the Panthers Party where his dignity and honour would be protected and his secular credials would get a boost. (ANI)
