Uzbek dancers enthrall Jaipur audience
April 10th, 2011 - 6:10 pm ICT by ANIJaipur, Apr 10 (ANI): Dancers from Uzbekistan enthralled the audience at a cultural exchange programme organised in Rajasthan’s Jaipur city.
The group, which arrived in the city on April 7, consisted of about ten members. They performed various forms of belly dance and attracted the audience with their synchronisation and colourful costumes.
“Our group is based on cultural and folk dances. As we know, in Uzbekistan there are three dance schools; one is Khorezm, then Bukhara and Fergana. Today, we shared all dance schools performances with the audience,” said Habibul, a member of the troupe.
“We greet Indian people with great pleasure from Uzbekistan. We really appreciate the Indian people for allowing us to show our performances and our culture,” he added. (ANI)
