Uttarakhand ministry expanded

- Dehradun, July 1 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Wednesday inducted eight new ministers, including four Cabinet ministers. This has taken the strength of the Uttarakhand Ministry to 12.
State Governor B.L. Joshi administered the oath of office and secrecy to Prakash Pant, Diwakar Bhatt, Trivendra Singh Rawat and Rajendra Singh Bhandari (all Cabinet ministers) and Vijaya Barthawal, Govind Singh Bist, Khajan Singh and Balwant Singh Bhoryal (all ministers of states).
Bist and Barthawal have been inducted as Ministers of State with independent charge.
Major Gen (retired) B C Khanduri resigned as chief minister owning moral responsibility for the party’s poor performance in Uttarakhand in the recent general elections. (ANI)
