US drones continue to spread panic among tribals in Miranshah, North WaziristanOctober 17th, 2008 - 5:49 pm ICT by ANI
Miranshah (NWFP), Oct 17 (ANI): A day after six people, including two foreigners, were killed in a drone attack on the Mehsud-inhabited Saam area, American drones were seen flying over Terah, Machni and other parts of Khyber Agency and over Miranshah area in North Waziristan, reported The News.
In yesterdays spy plane attack, which took place in the native town of Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud, five people were also injured.
Four artillery shells fired from the US military Machadaat camp in Birmal area of Afghanistan s Paktika province landed in Angoor Adda near the combined posts of the Pakistan Army and the paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC), but didnt cause any human loss.
Official and tribal sources said that two US spy planes, which were continuously flying over the area, fired two Hellfire missiles at around 11:00 am, which hit the house of a local tribesman Ghazi Khan Mehsud in Saam village of Ladha subdivision.
Tribal sources said soon after the missile attack, the two US drones were still flying over the village due to which the villagers and tribal militants were reluctant to start the rescue operation immediately. (ANI)
