UP police personnel, Ghaziabad residents participate in mini peace marathon
September 26th, 2010 - 7:05 pm ICT by ANIGhaziabad, Sep. 26 (ANI): Police personnel and local residents in large numbers participated in a mini marathon to promote peace and brotherhood in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad city on Sunday.
The marathon kicked of around dawn at 5 a.m.
The Superintendent of Police, Ghaziabad, Raghubir Lal was also among the participants in the mini marathon.
“About 100 participants ran on the stretch of three and a half kilometers. There was lot of excitement among the participants and they ran to spread public awareness about peace,” said Lal.
Police personnel were deployed on the route to direct the traffic and to oversee smooth completion of the run.
All the participants were awarded a certificate and a memento. (ANI)
