UFO experts demand probe into Little Green Man sightings in London
August 29th, 2008 - 6:32 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment ) London, August 29 (ANI): UFO experts in Britain are demanding that the claims of Little Green Man sightings this summer be investigated.
Exclusive pictures of the white and green lights were clicked while they were hovering over a 24-hour Tesco store in Croydon, South London, in April.
Onlookers say that the lights appeared with the slogan Every Little Helps.
It was very weird. It was the most beautiful green and white light, moving quite fast, then stopping. It had to be mechanical, like a spaceship, because it slowed down and stopped. It wasnt making any noise. It disappeared in a flash. I went home and told my girlfriend. She didnt believe me, but the pictures speak for themselves, British tabloid The Sun quoted musician Sid ODriscoll, 35, who clicked the exclusive pictures.
I dont touch drugs. Im not a believer in UFOs but Ive got no idea what this was, he added.
The pictures were examined by UFO expert Nick Pope, who worked for the Ministry of Defence.
Green lights are unusual it rules out the so-called Chinese lanterns that accounted for some recent UFO sightings in the UK. The images and description of the movement dont fit a list of things frequently reported as UFOs aircraft lights, meteors, satellites. This is a genuine mystery, he said.
Demanding that further attention be paid to UFO sightings, he said: Given the sheer number of sightings weve seen this summer and the unprecedented number of photos and videos, its time for a full public inquiry.
World-renowned UFO researcher Timothy Good said the Tesco sighting could not be explained.
The pictures are interesting. It is a mystery. Someone should look into these pictures further, he said.
A Tesco spokesman said that no sightings had been reported. (ANI)
