Two killed in Kashmir attack (Lead)
February 5th, 2010 - 5:02 pm ICT by IANSSrinagar, Feb 5 (IANS) A policeman and a civilian were killed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Sopore town Friday when separatist guerrillas fired at a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bunker, police said.
The attackers took the CRPF by surprise with their dramatic attack in the heart of the town. A second policeman was injured in the firing, officials said.
Security forces quickly cordoned off the area to hunt down the attackers. An earlier report put the number of dead at three.
