Two Hizb guerrillas killed in Kashmir gunfight
February 15th, 2010 - 1:58 pm ICT by IANSSrinagar, Feb 15 (IANS) Two separatist guerrillas from the Hizbul Mujahideen were killed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district Monday in a gunfight between security forces and the guerrillas, police said.
The militants were hiding in a village in Quimoh village, about 65 km from here. They were challenged by the Rashtriya Rifles and the special operations group (SOG) and started indiscriminate firing.
“At the end of the encounter, two militants were killed,” a police officer said.
