Twenty counter terrorism schools to be set up
February 17th, 2009 - 9:07 pm ICT by ANI New Delhi, Feb 17 (ANI): The Government has decided to set up 20 counter-insurgency and anti-terrorism schools under the XIth Plan.
This was stated by Sriprakash Jaiswal, Minister of State for Home Affairs, in written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today.
It is proposed to locate four schools each in the states of Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Orissa with a view to providing training to the State police personnel to tackle the insurgency/naxal menace. (ANI)
