Trooper killed by Kashmir militants
April 26th, 2010 - 8:49 pm ICT by IANSSrinagar, April 26 (IANS) A paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) head constable was shot dead by separatist guerrillas in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district Monday evening.
A senior police official told IANS that guerrillas fired at the head constable from close range in Magam town of Budgam, 30 km from Srinagar.
“The trooper succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to hospital. The area is being cordoned off and searches are being carried out,” he said.
