Todays stars more outrageous than 90s beauties: Denise Van OutenMay 6th, 2008 - 5:42 pm ICT by admin
London, May 06 (ANI): English actress Denise Van Outen has compared how things have changed since the nineties, insisting that her generation was always quite sensible, not as contemptible as todays youth.
Outen compared the nineties Met Bar crowd to todays generation of drinkers like Amy, Lily, Peaches, and, Chantelle, and found that the former were very docile as compared to the latter.
“We were always quite sensible, not as outrageous as they are today,” The Sun quoted her as saying.
Her era had the likes of Zoe Ball, Sara Cox and the Appleton sisters and they brought the term ‘ladette’ to prominence, something that now feels like a distant memory to the ex-Big Breakfast host.
“We had fun, but we all still got on with doing our jobs,” she said.
“I was never late for the Big Breakfast even if we stayed out, we’d get in from a party and do the live show.
“But now it’s taken a bit of a turn because people don’t turn up [for work] and are locked in hotel rooms or housing in Camden.
“We all worked. But I’m a bit of an old granny now - 34 this year, you know,” she added.
Outen is back doing early morning shows, co-hosting the Capital FM Breakfast Show with old mucker Johnny Vaughan. (ANI)
