Three security personnel injured in grenade attack in Srinagar
July 5th, 2010 - 12:16 pm ICT by ANISrinagar July 5:(ANI) Suspected militants lobbed a grenade at a security post in Srinagar, injuring three security personnel.
A grenade was hurled near a bunker manned by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Saraf Kada area in the old Srinagar on Sunday.
Security forces cordoned off the area and a manhunt was launched for the militants.
The situation in the Kashmir Valley has been tense over the past one week due to repeated clashes between the protestors and the security forces.
The latest round of demonstrations was sparked by the deaths of at least 11 persons for which the locals blamed the forces. (ANI)
