Three policemen killed by Maoists in Jharkhand
March 1st, 2011 - 1:31 pm ICT by ANIChatra (Jharkhand), Mar 1 (ANI): Three policemen were killed as the Maoists ambushed a police party late on Monday night in Jharkhand’s Chatra District.
The Maoists opened fire on a jeep carrying seven policemen, who were returning after a search operation.
The rebels also looted two guns and torched the jeep.
Those killed included assistant sub-inspector Narayan Mandal, hawaldar Akhilesh Paswan and home guard Gandru.
Four injured cops have been admitted to hospital. (ANI)
