Three inquiries launched into Tania Zaetta sex scandalMay 24th, 2008 - 12:04 pm ICT by admin
Melbourne, May 24 (ANI): Australian Defence department has launched three separate enquiries into TV and film celebrity Tania Zaettas troop sex scandal.
The investigations underway would follow leaking of the confidential briefing document containing unproven allegations against the Fear Factor host to the Daily Telegraph.
According to the defence sources, officers from the Defence Security Branch and the Military Police are investigating whether troops broke anti-fraternisation rules.
Apparently, Defence officials had been into the allegation for several weeks before the Minister’s office was informed, reports the Daily Telegraph.
Defence security investigators will be interrogating the Oz troops serving in the Middle East. They would also be examining email traffic from Afghanistan as part of an investigation into whether video or photographic material existed.
The officers are investigating how the document, rewritten last week after it breached privacy rules identifying those at the centre of unsubstantiated allegations, was leaked to the Daily Telegraph.
The third investigation would be looking at the way the department handles its briefing documents for the Minister, including a full review of officials with access to confidential ministerial briefings called “Hot Issues Briefs”.
However, the 37-year-old actress strongly denies the allegations insisting “complete made-up lies”.
The briefing document written to Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon has revealed that singer Angry Anderson had informed the ADF that Diggers based in Tarin Kowt had “the photos and video” to prove allegations that Tania Zaetta had sex with Defence personnel while in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, the Defence department has unreservedly apologised to Zaetta and Anderson for naming them in the original document after admitting that it broke privacy rules by naming Zaetta in a briefing document. (ANI)
